Income protection can give you an income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury. An Income Protection policy can give you a regular monetary amount until you are fit to go back to work, which will take away your financial worry at a time that is already very stressful.
If you were to become ill and unable to work could you cover your mortgage payments and household bills. If not then you should consider income protection.
Our advisers are fully qualified ‘protection’ specialists – ensuring you have adequate protection for both you and your home should your circumstances change and you are unable to pay your mortgage or maintain your standard of living.
If your family rely on your income or if in the event of your death you’d like your mortgage to be paid off thereby securing your family’s future, then you may also wish to consider life insurance.
There are a number of different insurance products available to you and which you choose is dependent on your circumstances. A term assurance policy is payable over a fixed term, e.g. 25 years, a whole of life policy is payable until you die and critical illness insurance covers you if you become critically ill.
Premiums are payable monthly and the costs vary depending on age, lifestyle, and the amount you’d want the policy to pay out. There are a number of different policies available so we’d suggest you speak to our adviser about what is right for you. We can also help you calculate how much your policy would need to pay out in order to protect your dependants.
Make an appointment to see our adviser – he can go through your needs and present you with some options that work for you.
